Mercury is considered prince in-universe and its Karak of the third most important organ
in the body which is the brain, intelligence. Since it rules over your intelligence it also
defines your educational qualifications, your business prospects – you do business by
brain right not by heart, charity is done by heart. it also rules over your tongue,
communication skills the way you will speak which is directly related to your business,
personality. Planet also rules over your hands, skin, lungs-breath, veins, nose, throat.
This planet is tridoshi, has vat,pit,kapha which means if this planet is strong in your
chart you will have a charming personality as it balances three doshas. The planet is all-
rounder personality. This planet has an interest in all most all things since its prince it’s
behavior is childlike. It keeps moving from one place to another like traveling, stays in
friends and its Karak of friends also, have artistic nature, luxuries – singing, dancing,
sculptures and is attracted to girls very fast. But as this planet matures in the horoscope
it changes interest from being jolly towards life to goal-oriented, business-minded,

The mythological story of mercury
Mercury was born from moon and tara (wife of Jupiter/ brashpati) and raised by
brahspati. Due to his high intellect, he was named Budh, he was made king of the earth
by Brahma and given a position in the planetary system. He was born with aarthshasta
(mathematic, economics) and hasti Shastra (Elephant medicine. That’s why Budha is
known for business and intellectual level.
There is one more story of budha in Matsaya puran, which tell how budha started
chandvansh from ila. Which tells his youth like behavior
