It is also known as Shukracharya, this planet is considered more knowledgeable, daring, dedicated & wealthy than Jupiter. This planet is said to be Karak of wealth, medicine, mantra, all other planets have just ¼ of Venus wealth, this was a boon given by Shiva along with Sanjeevni mantra which can make a dead person alive. As it rules reproductive parts of the body, feeling to reproduce or attraction towards opposite gender is under Venus, as it is wealthy Karak it likes luxuries which include singing, dancing, acting, perfumes, cosmetics products, all things related to seduction and used for seduction. Marriage, relationships, union ship, female friends, poetry. Literature, art, history, spirituality, creativity, face, architects, fashion designers are under Venus planet.
People with strong Venus are hard to understand because they are dual personalities at one point they will be like sage and at another they'll be like king or prince, the same goes with mercury also. There is a lot to understand about this planet but, this will be very well understood by his stories in Puranas.
The mythological story of Venus
Shukracharya was the son of sage Bhrigu, Ushna which is believed to be another name.
Seeing asuras being beaten by devtas again & again, Shukracharya decided to do penance to Shiva to get sanjeevni mantra through which he can make dead asura alive again to fight with devtas, when devtas came to know about this, they went to Brihaspati to ask to get that mantra for them. So they both went to Shiva and Shiva told them very difficult penance, in which they have to inhale burnt smoke of leaves by being upside down for years. Brihaspati backed off and Shukracharya decided to do it. Which shows his dedication towards Shiva and his disciples and in the end he got it.
His greatness was that he took his enemy Brahspati son Kacha as a student to teach him the sanjeevni mantra. Accepting enemies as a friend if bowed down.
He became full of vengeance when he came to know that Indra & Vishnu attacked his mother in his absence to kill all asuras.
As Ushna reached his adolescence he was sent to sage Angiras to acquire his teachings. Sage Angiras was one of the best of Brahma’s sons. Also, he had a son named Brihaspati. Brihaspati used to study with Shukracharya. Between them, Shukracharya was Sharp, witted. But as Brihaspati was the son of Angiras, the sage was biased about him which itched Shukracharya a lot. Enraged by this preferential treatment, Sukracharya associated himself with demons and became their Guru(teacher/guide) for which he is also called Asuracharya.
