Saturn / Shani

This is the most misunderstood planet in-universe, this planet tries to show you the right

path in the very hard way, it makes you diamond by putting you under a lot of pressure,

after enduring the pressure of Saturn you see the world very clearly and your ego &

falseness vanishes. This is the largest and slowest planet in the solar system, due to

which it provides things slowly and on a large scale whether it will be happiness or

sorrow. This planet represents discipline, duty, commitment, sacrifices. This planet is

justice lord of the universe, gives you punishment/prize as per your karma’s, this is a

boon from Shiva to him, no one can escape him in-universe. That’s why this planet is

very practical, fearless, a justice seeker, patient this is the reason why it is known as a

cruel planet. But people with strong Saturn tends to be spiritual, knowledge of all sorts

medical-ayurvedic- political, very well Structured, strong-headed, bold & blunt, mature,

detached, unbiased, traditional, hardworking, all-rounder personality, huge respect for

gurus. These people are full of emotions but don’t show and can control sense at will. in

the human body, Saturn is Karak of legs, nervous system, and veins. Saturn represents

depth, on earth, its Karak of all underground things like oil, coal, diamonds, etc. Now to

better understand planet Saturn/ Shani, we need to read its mythological story.

Sade sati affects mainly moon because emotions are mainly responsible for greed and

Ego so during the period of 7&half year it makes to think of all the bad deeds you have

done, emotional turmoil to make you feel what other’s might have felt and shown the

real word by making you go through them physically and emotionally.

The mythological story of Saturn

Saturn is the son of the sun through Chaya and while Shani in womb Chaya did penance

to Shiva due to which Shani was born black and was questioned by the sun about it.

Which made Shani against him. To be greater than the sun he worshipped lord Shiva in

Kashi, and as a boon Shiva gave him a place in a planetary position and made him lord

of justice or lord of karma.

Shani dev came for Ganapati's birth ceremony, but didn’t look at Ganpati. Parvati Ji

asked him to look at Ganpati and he said he can’t look at him because to whomever it

sees it wipe out because of the curse given to him by his wife on missing the ritukaal/

mensuration time as he was busy in Krishna devotion. On this Parvati Ji laughed and

forced him to look at Ganpati and when he did Ganesha's head wiped out. On this

Parvati Ji gave him cursed to be physically disabled from that day Shani started

lumping.

Shani was about to travel on Rohini nakshatra due to which earth would have been

agriculture less for 12 years, to stop dashrath went to fight Shani, seeing dashrath

bravery and not being killed through his sight. Shani asked the reason for which he has

come. On knowing the reason and his bravery Shani was happy on him and gave him

the boon that he will skip Rohini and will only give death and problems if he sits on 1 st ,

4 th  and 8 th  house in Kundli.

There are manly tales about him that shows his true character and helplessness, but all

over Saturn is a very good planet.
